<b>Location.</b> The Kolea at Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Big Island was completed in 2005. This gated community is ideally located on Anaeho'omalu Bay. Known locally as "A" Bay, this historic inlet was favored by ancient Hawaiians as an abundant fishing ground. Other area highlights include Hapuna Beach State Park, located six miles from Kolea at Waikoloa and Pu'ukohola Heiau National Historic Site which is seven miles away. Guests arriving via Kona International Airport are 18 miles north of Kolea at Waikoloa. <br><b>Hotel Features.</b> Waikoloa Beach Resort extends its amenities and privileges to all resort guests. On- site, The Beach Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., is an 18-hole course that affords spectacular ocean views. The 18-hole King's Golf Course, designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, features outstanding mountain views. The King's Shops, located one mile from Kolea at Waikoloa, is the premier shopping and dining destination on the Kohala Coast. Restaurant specialties range from the best of Asia and the Pacific, to the finest European-influenced creations. For recreation, guests have access to the Heather Hale fitness center and the tennis courts at the nearby Marriott and Hilton hotels. Specifically, the Kolea at Waikoloa features the Beach Club Pavilion with a natural lava hot tub, infinity-edge pool, and a children's pool with a sandy bottom and waterfall. <br><br><b>Guestrooms.</b> The oceanfront three-bedroom, three-bath villas include air conditioning, stone flooring in common areas, and gourmet kitchens with natural stone countertops, African mahogany cabinetry and built-in wine cabinets. The 9'X18' retractable pocket doors connect the lanai and living areas. The lanai features an outdoor living/dining area with a gas grill, Koa cabinetry, bar, sink and under-counter wine cooler. <br><br><b>Expert Tip.</b> The Waikoloa Beach Resort hosts annual celebrity golf tournaments and two American Tennis Professional (ATP) tournaments.

From Kona International Airport:<br> Turn left (north) onto Highway #19. <br> Drive approximately 17.5 miles. <br> Turn left onto Waikoloa Beach Drive. <br> Proceed approximately one more mile past the King's Shops. <br> Turn right onto Keana Place. <br> The Vista Waikoloa is the first gated property on the right side of the street. <br> The check-in office is located at the Vista Waikoloa. <br> Access the gate by following the instructions on the key pad. <br> The check-in office is the first building on the left. |
