<b>Location.</b> Surrounded by lush Hawaiian flora, the Castle Kaha Lani overlooks the Pacific in picturesque Wailua, Kauai. Dense rainforests, impenetrable valleys, majestic peaks and perfect golden beaches make Kauai one of Hawaii's most desirable destinations. Dominated by a sense of independence, the island has never fallen victim to the tourist culture that afflicts Oahu and the Big Island. The sights, smells and sounds of the island promote relaxation, with shimmering waterfalls, the scent of ginger and plumeria and morning birdsong all pleasing the senses. <br><b>Hotel Features.</b> Meticulously maintained landscaping compliments the modern amenities offered by the resort, including an outdoor pool and sundeck, a putting green, illuminated tennis courts and a barbeque area. Full kitchens feature refrigerators, ranges and microwave ovens. Other standard amenities include cable television, VCRs and in-room safes. <br><br><b>Expert Tip.</b> The Na Aina Kai Botanical Gardens are just over 17 miles from the resort and feature around 240 acres of beautiful gardens and some 70 life-size bronze statues. The story book setting provides an unforgettable experience, complete with waterfalls, labyrinths, topiaries, a Japanese teahouse and a lagoon with fountains. Recently a children's garden was added which features a gecko hedge maze, a tropical jungle gym and a treehouse suspended in a rubber tree. The gardens are only open three days a week, so advanced tour booking is recommended.
