The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort in Lahaina, Hawaii, is set on 14 acres in Maui's less congested North Kaanapali Beach area. Kahalui Airport is 30 miles from the resort, and Whalers Village, Kaanapali golf courses, South Kaanapali Beach and the town of Lahaina are nearby. <br> The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort's two-story, open-air lobby leads to lush, landscaped gardens, an 8,000- square-foot outdoor pool with water slide, wading pool, two spa tubs sheltered by lava-rock grottos and the vast waters of the Pacific Ocean. Experts from the Maui Ocean Center visit the resort to teach guests about indigenous reef life and marine species.
