<b>Location.</b> Seaside serenity aptly describes Maui's northwest shores, where ResortQuest Maui Kaanapali Villas overlook this low-key island's powder-fine, palm- fringed beaches. Whalers Village is a short, scenic drive from the resort, as is the town of Lahaina. Air travelers are 28 miles from Kahului Airport. <br><b>Hotel Features.</b> Set amongst 11 verdant acres, guests of the resort may stroll some of Maui's most attractive pathways. Two outdoor pools lie adjacent to each other and offer ocean vistas, whereas a third pool resides in a secluded niche. The villa's main pool features an expansive sundeck, or guests may choose to improve their tans elsewhere on the spacious lawns. The lobby's fountain whispers a welcome to newcomers as they approach the main desk where tours, car rentals and ocean-sport activities are arranged. Camp Kaanapali, located at a sister resort two miles away, offers children the opportunity to discover Hawaiian culture, crafts and lifestyle. Children may also hop aboard the Sugar Cane Train or play games provided at the hotel's front desk. A convenience store sells necessities and rents video tapes, and a small lending library carries a selection of books. Should these activities build an appetite, the on-site Castaways Café offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Highlights include macadamia, pineapple and banana pancakes for breakfast and pupus and local fish at dinner. <br><br><b>Guestrooms.</b> This peaceful resort offers 252 air-conditioned condo units decorated in island style. Most provide balconies or full lanais. <br><br><b>Expert Tip.</b> An open-air, motorized trolley stops outside the lobby where guests can take a complimentary ride around the 2-mile-long Kaanapali resort community.
